Hi

My name is Neil Crosswaite and I'm starting this blog because I want to tell you about a relationship I'm in.

It's not a relationship in the conventional sense of the word but it is something which is lifelong and has affected every aspect of my life.

I am speaking about an uncommon and debilitating condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) hence the title.

To be honest I'm not sure what I'll achieve with this. But I feel I need to do this because I need to not necessarily come to terms with it but to more or less face it head on and maybe find out who I really am and who I really want to be.
